About Block Foundations
Block foundations, are made from stacked cinder blocks. The footings are coated with mortar a to bind masonry—then cinder blocks are layered evenly on top. The blocks are reinforced with rebar placed vertically in the holes or cells and filled with concrete.
Concrete block foundationscan typically hold more weight than poured concrete foundations. If you have a larger/heavier home, your house was most likely built with a concrete block foundation.
